Hands down - one of the most popular questions we receive is: what's the difference between soft enamel and hard enamel pins?
Basically, the hard enamel pins have a more polished look whereas soft enamel pins have recessed enamel.
Soft enamel pins have recessed areas that prevent from colors mixing with one another. This give them that rigid and bumpy feel to them. They are the most cost effective ways to produce pins.
Hard enamel pins offer a higher quality feel. Literally, they are not rigid or bumpy but rather smooth and polished. The enamel is added several times and then polished flat. This achieves a higher quality look and feel to the pin, which is quite a nice aesthetic to have.
If you're looking to get some custom pins made, head right this way.
